Zach Smith, M.D.

Dr. Zachary Smith is board certified in Gastroenterology and board certified in Internal medicine and has completed extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, liver and pancreas.

Dr. Smith was born and raised in Oklahoma City. After completing undergraduate, medical school, and internal medicine residency at the University of Oklahoma where he was awarded outstanding medical resident, Dr. Smith completed Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha honors society. He has published several peer-reviewed articles on the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, gastric cancer, and quality improvements in the care of patients with chronic liver disease.

Dr. Smith is an active member of several professional societies including American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastroenterological Endoscopy, American Gastroenterology Association, and the Oklahoma State Medical Association.

He treats patients with intestinal, liver and nutritional disorders and performs routine endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy (EGD) with esophageal dilation and colonoscopy with polyp removal as well as pH and motility testing of the esophagus.
