Misty Dean, APRN-CNP

Misty Dean, APRN-CNP is Board Certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She began her career in health care in 1994 as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the age of 18. In 1997, she received her Registered Nurse degree. In 2004, she graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with her Masters of Science in Nursing. She completed her Post Masters certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts – Boston in 2013.

Since 2004 she has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine and Urgent care, and joined DDSI in 2013. She has also served as an adjunct clinical instructor for other Nurse Practitioners and nursing programs.

Misty’s combination of clinical education and experience provides a strong academic foundation for high-quality patient care. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems.
